The schedule was updated July 24, 2026 and says events may change because of weather. Parent events are optional; midshipmen remain responsible for military obligations.

Friday, September 4: Classes, Briefings, Rooms, and Parade

Stadium shuttles are listed from 6:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. Classes run 7:45 a.m.–3:30 p.m. The Superintendent’s welcome is 9:55–10:30 a.m., followed by the service-assignment brief from 10:30–10:45 a.m. Arrive Thursday night so hotel check-in does not compete with the useful morning programming.

Formation and King Hall lunch run 11:55 a.m.–12:30 p.m. The official schedule says the $7.10 guest lunch ticket must be purchased by the midshipman. Room visits run 12:30–3:30 p.m.; ring Q&A sessions at 12:40–1:30 p.m. and 1:40–2:30 p.m. overlap, so choose one.

The formal parade begins at 4:10 p.m. The Band concert at 7:00 p.m. and Shabbat services at 7:15 p.m. also overlap. For 2/C midshipmen without overnight liberty, the listed Friday expiration is 11:59 p.m.; verify actual status.

Saturday, September 5: Liberty, March-On, and Navy–Towson

Liberty begins at 8:00 a.m. and expires for all midshipmen at 2:00 p.m. Brigade formation is 2:15 p.m., step-off is 2:30 p.m., and kickoff is 3:30 p.m. Keep breakfast and lunch close, begin the return around 1:15 p.m., and avoid activities dependent on perfect traffic.

Hotel booking does not include football tickets, parking, or stadium access. Confirm each separately through authorized channels and review entry rules. Liberty resumes after Blue and Gold; keep dinner flexible because game length and postgame movement vary.

Sunday, September 6: Worship, Family Time, and Departure

Liberty begins at 8:00 a.m.; worship services are listed at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Sunday liberty expires at 8:00 p.m. for 2/C midshipmen without weekend liberty. A Monday departure protects the full day.

If Sunday departure is unavoidable, work backward from airport check-in, traffic, a return-to-Yard buffer, and the goodbye. Do not assume the listed expiration will move.

Hotel Strategy for September 3–7

Search Thursday through Monday first. Compare total price, deposit, parking, minimum stay, bedding, occupancy, accessibility, and exact cancellation deadline—not only the nightly rate.

• Downtown, West Street, or Eastport for walkability
• Parole or Riva Road for easier parking and larger rooms
• BWI corridor only when Annapolis availability or pricing does not fit
• One decision-maker for multi-household changes
